Our
full class
Timetables
Okay, strap in; here's our timetable. We're the biggest provider of classes in the local area with a full range of Pilates and movement classes. They're all delivered by expert instructors, and range from beginners classes to those which are a little more demanding. We're strict about limiting the number of people in each class which means you'll get the support you need, and classes are held in our Denne Parade or Carfax studios or via our online Zoom platform.

IF YOU'RE NEW AND WOULD LIKE TO TAKE PART
IF YOU'D LIKE TO JOIN US

So if you're new to our classes and would like to take part, then just call us on 01403 249 511 (or just send an email to info@totaltherapystudios.co.uk) so we can have a chat about what you're looking for.

  OUR ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM

Our online booking system is only available to clients who have already registered with us, and have had a face-to-face class consultation with our clinical director. Therefore if you are new to the studio and would like to take part our classes then please just get in contact so we can get you booked in for an induction session.

If you've attended classes and have a login you can access our online class management system by following this link, or use the link on the top left of the website. Please note that you can't book onto classes directly from this page.

THE LARGEST TIMETABLE IN THE AREA

Pilates and Movement classes
Our consolidated timetable below shows all Pilates, Clinical Pilates, movement, and wellbeing classes. All are shown with date, time, class level, and instructor. We also have a number of new classes too, which are shown with a flashing marker. Some of these new classes have started already and you can take part in them immediately, some others are starting very soon so just get in contact to register your interest.

Classes in green are at Denne Parade, those in blue (with the CF icon) are held in The Carfax. Those classes which are online are shown in orange with a small webcam icon. All of our equipment studio classes are shown on a seperate timetable further down this page.

We can tell you're looking at our timetable on a tablet or larger mobile device, and we're not going to lie: we've got so many classes they do all struggle to fit on! Could be worth turning your device the other way around, or looking at our timetable on a desktop/laptop or mobile phone!

THE RIGHT CLASS FOR YOU

Class descriptions
With all of our classes, the most important thing for us is that it's right for you. We've shared some information about our classes below, and if you're new to us then we can expand further when we call to discuss you joining us. As always, if you're looking for more information, then just get in contact.

Pilates
Pilates is a series of non-impact exercises designed by Joseph Pilates to improve strength, stability, balance, posture and movement awareness (proprioception). Its basic principles reply on finding and connecting to the core structures of the body (the torso) to rebalance the load and biomechanical stresses on the body created by poor movement habits.

The level of a class dictates the speed and difficulty of the session, with lower levels suited to beginners or those with more sedentary lifestyles, or poor body awareness. These sessions are not suitable for people with Acute or Chronic Pain or movement dysfunction.

Clinical Pilates
This is a form of movement therapy based on the principles of Joseph Pilates repertoire and combines this with the latest research in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, rehabilitation, exercise physiology biomechanics and pain management. These classes are directed by instructors with a clinical background and exercises are adjusted and modified to suit each individual based on their clinical needs. These classes often utilise trigger point balls, prickle balls and foam rollers to release or restore muscles and connective tissues.

Class levels are based on severity of condition or movement dysfunction, with lower levels suited to those with acute pain, pre and post surgery, injury or with clinical movement impairments, and higher levels suited to those recovering from injury and prevent recurrence of pain.
Trigger-point Pilates
Trigger Point Pilates is a Pilates model devised by Lydia Campbell which combines Joseph Pilates repertoire and the principles of myofascial release and trigger point therapy to release tension and stiffness in the muscles throughout the class. The class utiliises soft prickle balls and foam rollers to achieve this which help restructure the muscles pliability and function. These classes are slow and progressive and suitable for all, but not for those in acute pain or with clinical considerations. Please that trigger point balls and muscle and joint release techniques are also included in our Clinical Pilates classes.
Movement Health
Our Movement Health classes are slower corrective classes which go into more depth and explore the finer details around correct technique of breath, biomechanics, flexibility and stability which when dysfunctional contribute to poor movement patterns and recurring pain. These classes incorporate principles and exercises from Pilates, Yoga and other movement based therapies and are suitable at lower levels for people with chronic pain, muscle tightness, pelvic floor issues, joint and spinal stiffness, and at higher levels for those wanting to improve ease of movement and performance either in daily life or sport.
Pilates for Strength
These classes introduce load, resistance and a little bit of intensity to your pilates workouts in a safe and controlled way. They introduce the use of dumbbells, kettlebells and TRX for stronger functional movement and strength. Correct biomechanics and technique are an integral element of progression, and these classes will teach you all the movement mistakes that can occur when we push our bodies that little bit further. These classes are suitable for anyone looking to progress from clinical or lower level matwork classes or those wanting to get the most from their gym workouts.
Animal Flow
Animal Flow is a ground based movement class based on the 7 primal movement patterns of Twist, Push, Pull, Bend, Squat, Lunge, and Gait that develop in utero and infancy (and get lost in adulthood) and draw from elements from yoga, pilates gymnastics, Parkour, hand balancing, and body weight training. This super fun class is designed to gently load the different body joints and move in all three different planes to get a physical and neurological response that improves strength, mobility, flexibility, stability and coordination. This class is suitable for beginners to animal flow, but not suitable for beginners to exercise or those with acute pain.
